Kettering

There are currently two major projects ongoing at Kettering:

• Station improvement works will see platform extensions and electrification of the railway lines to accommodate electric trains from May 2020.
• Creation of Kettering Electric Stabling (KES) depot. This will provide a light maintenance and stabling facility for electric rolling stock to run between London St Pancras and Corby.

All scheduled disruptions from Kettering:

  • Early morning trains will be affected by engineering works between Kettering and Bedford with buses replacing trains between these stations.

     

    The first train direct train to London St Pancras will depart Kettering at 10:45

  • Replacement coaches will run between Kettering and Corby.

  • Replacement coaches will run between Kettering and Corby.

  • Early morning trains will be affected by engineering works between Kettering and Bedford with buses replacing trains between these stations.

     

    The first train direct train to London St Pancras will depart Kettering at 10:45

  • Buses will replace trains between Kettering and Corby all day

  • Route improvement work will be taking place between Leicester and Market Harborough. Trains will be unable to call at these stations.

     

    If you are travelling Southbound (Towards London)

     

    Your journey will not be affected however train departure times may be different from our printed timetable.

     

    If you are travelling Northbound

     

    Trains will divert around Market Harborough and Leicester with journey times being extended by 40-60 minutes.

     

    If you are travelling to Market Harborough or Leicester you should join a replacement coach service from this station.

  • Replacement coaches will run between Kettering and Corby.

  • Replacement coaches will run between Kettering and Corby.

  • Early morning trains will be affected by engineering works between Kettering and Bedford with buses replacing trains between these stations.

     

    The first Southbound direct train to London St Pancras will depart Kettering at 10:50.

     

    The first Northbound trains to depart Kettering will depart at 10:14 for Nottingham and 11:13 for Sheffield.

     

    Buses will replace trains between Kettering and Corby all day.

  • Early morning trains will be affected by engineering works between Kettering and Bedford with buses replacing trains between these stations.

     

    The first Southbound direct train to London St Pancras will depart Kettering at 10:50.

     

    The first Northbound trains to depart Kettering will depart at 10:14 for Nottingham and 11:07 for Sheffield.

     

    Buses will replace trains between Kettering and Corby all day.

  • Route improvement works is taking place between Leicester and Bedford.

     

    Trains will run between London St Pancras – Bedford and Sheffield/Nottingham – Corby.

     

    If you are travelling North


    If you are travelling to the north you should join a replacement coach service to Corby to connect with trains to Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield.

     

    If you are travelling to Market Harborough you should join a direct replacement coach service.

     

    If you are travelling South

    You should join a replacement coach service to Bedford to connect with trains to London St Pancras.

    If you are travelling towards the North; services will run between London St Pancras and Bedford only.

    A Rail Replacement Bus service will run every half hour to Market Harborough where customers will be able to connect on to trains Northbound.

     

    If you are travelling South; services will terminate at Market Harborough.

    A Rail Replacement Bus service will run every half hour calling at Kettering and Wellingborough, before continuing to Bedford.

    Customers travelling towards London St Pancras should use the Rail Replacement bus service to Bedford, where you will be able to connect with rail services.

  • Route improvement work will take place between Market Harborough and Bedford this weekend.

    Southbound services will terminate at Leicester until 10:00. After 10:00, services will run via Kettering and terminate at Corby.

     

    If you are travelling North; services will run between London St Pancras and Bedford only.

    A Rail Replacement Bus service will depart from the station front at Bedford every 30 minutes towards Corby, where you can connect with rail services to Kettering.

    Trains will start at Corby and run via Kettering to the North.

     

    If you are travelling South to Kettering;

    Before 10:00, a Rail Replacement Bus service will run every half hour from Leicester for Bedford, calling at Market Harborough and Kettering.

    After 10:00, customers may use rail services as these will call at Kettering before terminating at Corby.

    If you are travelling South from Kettering;

    Before 10:00 a Rail replacement bus service will run every 30 minutes calling at Wellingborough and Bedford, customers should change at Bedford for rail connections.

    Customers travelling towards London St Pancras should use trains to Corby, where you can connect to a direct bus service to Bedford. On arrival at Bedford, customers can connect to rail services towards London St Pancras.

     

  • Services on our London route will be severely disrupted with no direct services to London St Pancras International.
    If you’re travelling to London, part of your journey will be by coach.
    Trains will continue to run to Corby, where you will need to travel on replacement coach which will run to Bedford.
    Trains will run between Bedford and London St Pancras International.
    Journeys will be significantly longer and there will be fewer trains per hour.

  • Services on our London route will be severely disrupted with no direct services to London St Pancras International.
    If you’re travelling to London, part of your journey will be by coach.
    No southbound trains will run from Kettering with coaches running between Kettering and Bedford. Trains will run between Bedford and London St Pancras International.
    Passengers travelling north will need to travel by replacement coach to Leicester, where they can connect to trains to Sheffield or Nottingham.
